The 2009 Vancouver Canucks are back at General Motors Place. General Motors Place, sponsored by General Motors Canada, is an indoor arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Completed in 1995 at a cost of 160 million Canadian Dollars in private financing, the arena is home to the Vancouver Canucks of the NHL, and was formerly home to the Vancouver Grizzlies of the NBA and the Vancouver Ravens of the NLL. The arena seats 18,630 for ice hockey and 19,193 for basketball. It has 88 luxury suites, 12 hospitality suites, and 2,195 club seats. Seating is arranged as Lower and Upper Bowls Alcohol Free, Lower and Upper Bowls Goal, Lower and Upper Bowls Center, Canadian Zone, Club, and Suites. Also known as the "Garage", this entertainment complex boasts of modern arena technology (i.e. ProAd LED ribbon board encircling the upper bowl and ProStar LED scoreboard) and great lines of sight from all seats. There are 25 concessions, including two family restaurants, cappuccino bars, Mexican burrito stands, pizza parlours, popcorn and pop kiosks and a beer garden. For fine dining, there's the Club Lounge, the five-star BC Club and the Spirit Club Tap and Grill.
