The 2008 Buffalo Sabres are back at HSBC Arena. The $127 million HSBC Arena opened in '96 as the Marine Midland Arena before adopting its new name in '99. This premier state-of-the-art sports and entertainment facility in New York is home to NHL's Buffalo Sabres and NLL's Buffalo Bandits. For those sitting in the 100 and 200 levels, though proving to be unnecessary because of the roomy seats, a complimentary coat check is provided. Aside from good views of the live action, the arena sports an eight-sided JumboTron for an enhanced view of the entire happenings. Among the distinguished sites in the arena includes Harbor Club adjacent to the 100 seating level, Pepsi Headlines Bar located in the middle of the 100 level, a brewery/cappuccino bar on the 200 level and the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame. All entrances in the HSBC Arena are wheelchair accessible. The arena's garage has 1,100 parking spaces and is available for guests with disabilities. The city's Metro Rail has a stop at the arena and is free while traveling above ground. Since the grand opening on September 21, 1996, more than 11 million people have attended the wide variety of events held at HSBC Arena.
