The 2009 Anaheim Ducks are back at Honda Center. Honda Center, completed in '93 at a cost of $123 million, is an indoor arena in Anaheim, California. The whole arena holds 650,000 square feet of space, lined inside and out with vibrant marble and granite from the mountains of Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, and the Philippines. Its roof covers 444 feet by 329 feet, more than 100 feet above the arena floor. Seating is comprised of three levels. Closest to the arena floor is the Plaza Level, includes Plaza Center and Plaza Goal seating. Just 21 rows from the floor is the exclusive Club Level for Premium Seat holders (i.e. Club Level Center and Club Level Goal). And above the Club level, is the most affordable Terrace level that is divided into Terrace Center and Terrace Goal. The non-smoking arena, otherwise known as Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim and The Pond, can seat up to 17,174 for hockey games of native Anaheim Ducks. Basketball seating capacity is 17,608, center stage is 18,900 and end stage capacity is 18,325. For the refined person, the Honda Center comprises of 83 total suites classified in three: Club Suite, Club Party Suite and Plaza Suite. It also has 4,500 parking spaces and function rooms that include the Vista Rooms and Board Room. The management requires the crowd to wear shoes (and shirt) and strictly does not allow recording devices, bottles, cans, food, drinks, strollers, weapons or fireworks brought in. More than 2,300 events have been hosted at this premier entertainment and sports venue since 1993. Recently, the Honda Center completed a $12.9 million improvement plan, adding a new state-of-the-art sound system, second LED ring, end-zone scoreboards, a 95-foot-tall marquee and a new point-of-sale system for its food and beverage and merchandise stands.
