The 2009 New York Giants are back at Giants Stadium. Giants Stadium, also referred to as The Meadowlands, is a sports facility in East Rutherford, New Jersey in the Meadowlands Sports Complex. It is the current home of the New York Jets football team of the NFL. Giants Stadium may be big (seating 80,242 for football), but surprisingly it has an intimate feel, as any visitor can attest. The stadium has 119 suites and 142 club seats, complete with amenities. It has been home to the Giants since 1976, and the Jets moved in eight years later. The Giants and Jets are the most celebrated tenants, of course, but Giants Stadium also is home to the MetroStars/New York Red Bulls soccer team of Major League Soccer, and a variety of large-scale concerts keep the money coming in during the summer. While the stadium has a decidedly blue atmosphere, matching the Giants' team colors, when the Jets play there, the walls are covered with green banners, matching their colors.
